Start your engines for Houston Region SCCA’s Labor Day Triple race weekend at MSR Houston August 31-September 1.

MSR Houston will have a Test & Tune on Friday at a cost of $150 for non-MSR Houston members and $100 for MSR Houston members, generally from 9 am to 5 pm, with a one-hour lunch break at noon. It is limited to those registered for the weekend’s SCCA races.

Technical inspection and registration activities occur from 5 pm to 7 pm Friday. Registration is open again from 7 am to noon Saturday. Express registration will be utilized, so bring your logbook. The technical inspection garage opens at 7:30 am Saturday, and scales open at 10:30 am, pending qualifying impound. The same registration, technical inspection and scale schedule will be followed Sunday.

Then on Saturday we start with 15-minute practice and qualifying sessions by race group at 8 am. At around 1:15 pm, 20-minute Majors races begin, followed by dinner, adult beverages and a time to unwind and trade stories and maybe a bit of smack talk.

On Sunday we will start with 10-minute warm-ups at 8 am, with 30-minute regional races starting at 8:30 am, followed by 20-minute Majors races starting at 1:30 pm.

All of these times are approximate, and may be adjusted by announcements over the public address system.

The cost for the weekend of racing (excluding Test & Tune) is $495 for one car, plus $275 for a second entry for the same driver in a different class (e.g., HP and FF).

The cost for Saturday only is $250 and for Sunday only is $300.

This event will be run in the counter-clockwise direction.

The Club Races will count toward the 2019 SWRRC Points Championship and will count toward participation for the 2019 Divisional Runoffs Qualification path, plus Southern Conference Majors points.  Only 2 races are Majors races, the third (Sunday afternoon) is a regional race that counts towards SWRRC points.

Registration can be found here.
