Time Trials—first and foremost—is about the quest for speed.
This is a place for mechanical creativity, driver development and envelope pushing. There is no room here for balance of performance, spec classes or slowing down the fast to make a better show.
Track Sprints
A timed run with a standing start and a flying finish around a segment of a track. Only one car starts at a time (though there may be two cars on different parts of the circuit at once). You compete only against the clock. Competitors are grouped together in classes and there are prizes for winners of each class depending on the number of entrants.
Time Attacks
A multi lap session (usually 20 minutes) where competitors are competing against the clock for the one perfect lap (fastest time). This is not a wheel-to-wheel event. There will be multiple cars will be on the track at the same time but spaced apart. Competitors are grouped together in classes and there are prizes for winners of each class depending on the number of entrants.
